PLATFORM FACILITIES

DARKROOMS

PLATFORM offers traditional wet tray black and white darkroom facilities for non-commercial users. The darkrooms are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are available to rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The facility is intended to provide a production space for artists working in traditional photographic methods. Please contact the centre for further details. You will need to supply your own paper and chemistry.

 

Our darkroom equipment includes:

  • 2 traditional wet tray processing darkrooms for prints up to 16×20

  • LPL and Beseler enlargers with various enlarger lenses (50mm, 80mm, and 135mm)

  • Negative carriers for 35mm, 2.25, and 4×5

  • Film Drying Cabinet

  • Developing tanks and spirals for 35mm and 120 film

  • Light table

  • Printing easels for up to 16 x 20 prints

  • Contact printers

  • Archival print washer

  • 16×20 Drymounting press

$25 a day | $125 a month | $250 a year

DIGITAL WORKSPACE

PLATFORM offers a digital suite workspace that is accessible during our business hours each week and is available to rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. To access the workspace, please contact the centre directly for further details.

Our Digital Workspace includes:

  • iMac with Adobe Creative Suite programs and internet access

  • EPSON Perfection V850 Pro Scanner
